अमृतसर की धार्मिक संस्थाओं ने आज वातावरण दिवस पर संकल्प लिया कि वह इस छबील , लंगर पर प्लास्टिक एवं थर्माकोल से बने बर्तन, गिलास , चम्मच नहीं इस्तमाल करेंगे और लोगों को भी ऐसे लंगर जिसमें प्लास्टिक की जगह लोहे के बर्तन इस्तमाल करेंगे, लोहे के बर्तनों को भी केमिकल या साबुन से ना धोकर ,भालू से सफाई कर उपयोग में लाएंगे, क्यूंकि केमिकल जो कई बार धोने से भी नहीं धुल पता और कई बीमारियां को जन्म देता है , आज विश्व वातावरण दिवस पर सभी सोसाइटी मिलकर अपने-अपने स्थानों से गुरु नानक देव जी के 550 में प्रकाश पर्व पर 550 पौधे लोगों में वितरित करने का संकल्प लिया जी टी रोड पर स्थित बाबा खट्टा जी के गुरुद्वारे में यह कार्यक्रम हुआ, इस मौके पर अकाल सेवा सोसाइटी जगमोहन सिंह , कलगीदर गुरुद्वारा सोसाइटी नारायणगढ़ से सरदार बलदेव सिंह, गुरुद्वारा बाबा खट्टा जी लखविंदर सिंह, माता गुजरी सोसाइटी से सरदार हरविंदर सिंह नारंग , भाई मती दास सोसाइटी से परमिंदर को सोसाइटी राजविंदर कोर उनके साथ और धार्मिक कार्यकर्ताओं मैं भाग लिया, इस मौके पर जगमोहन सिंह द्वारा सभी को पौधे वितरण किए
